5 Channel Radio Remote Control

5 Channel Radio Remote Control
This article is about an easy 5 channel radio remote control circuit based on ICs TX-2B and RX-2B from Silan Semiconductors. TX-2B / RX-2B is a remote encoder decoder combine that can be employed for remote control applications. TX-2B / RX-2B has five channels, wide operating voltage range (from 1.5V to 5V), low stand by current (around 10uA), low operating current (2mA), auto power off function and needs few external parts. The TX-2B / RX-2B was originally designed for remote toy car applications, however it can be used for any kind of remote switching application.

Metal Detector based on IC CS209A

Metal Detector based on IC CS209A
This is an easy metal detector circuit based on IC CS209A from the Cherry Semiconductors. A 100uH coil is employed to sense the presence of metal. The IC CS209A has a built in oscillator circuit and also the coil L1 forms a part of its external LC circuit that determines the frequency of oscillation. The inductance of the coil change in the presence of metals and the resultant change in oscillation is demodulated to make an alarm. The LED offers a visual indication too. This circuit can sense metals up to a distance of few inches.
